Nike Golf's Tiger Woods wins at Bay Hill for 6th time

Woods captures second straight at Bay Hill with birdie putt on 72 hole

TORONTO (March 30, 2009)-In just his third event back from knee surgery, Nike Golf's Tiger Woods won in dramatic style for the second straight year at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, making a 15-foot birdie putt on the final hole.

Relying on the new Nike ONE Tour ball, his Victory Red TW Forged Blades and SQ DYMO driver, Woods came back from five holes behind at the start of the day to match the biggest final round comeback of his career and capture his 66th PGA Tour title. Woods won at Bay Hill for the sixth time, the third PGA TOUR event he has won at least that often.   Woods shot a final-round 67 on Sunday to edge Sean O'Hair by a stroke. O'Hair is coached by Nike Golf staff member Sean Foley.

It was the first victory for Woods since he captured the U.S. Open in a 19-hole playoff last June. A week later, he underwent reconstructive surgery on his left knee and missed the next eight months. Woods proved Sunday he is ready to contend in the Masters in two weeks, which he has already captured four times.

"This feels like we hadn't left," Woods said. "You just remember how to do it. It hasn't been that long for me, but you just have that feel of what to do. And it's a matter of getting it done."

Woods relies on Victory Red wedges
Woods made key shots and scrambled beautifully with his Victory Red wedges on Sunday. On 14, Woods faced a buried lie under the lip of a bunker, but blasted to about 12 feet which he made for an improbable par. On 15, Woods made a 15-foot putt for birdie to tie for the lead.

Sunday marked the third time that Woods has won at Bay Hill with a birdie on the final hole.
Woods worked directly with Nike Golf's experienced team of designers and
engineers to create Nike Golf's best irons ever under the Victory Red brand,
which includes three sets of irons: the Forged TW Blades, Forged Split Cavity
and the Full Cavity.

The Victory Red irons comprise traditional looking irons designed for the
aspiring golfer who demands the ultimate combination of Tour proven
craftsmanship, performance and forgiveness.

Woods is playing Nike's new SQ DYMO (loft 8.5) driver, which
optimizes launch and spin by loft. Distance and accuracy is maximized in
every loft by varying multiple specifications, including lie angle, MOI, centre of gravity, head size and face depth.
