head-to-head with Nike golfer Anthony Kim; holds him off for the win

TORONTO (JULY 6,
2009) – Tiger Woods wowed the 44,000 fans at the AT&T National with
a final round 67 that led him to his 68th career victory - becoming
only the second player to win an official PGA Tour event as host.
Woods birdied the
16th hole to take the lead, finishing with a closing 66 for his
third win of the season and his first victory at Congressional
Country Club.
With the victory, Woods grabbed the No. 1 spot on the FedExCup
standings for the first time this season.
Once again Woods' driving performance stood out. He hit 41 out of 56
fairways during the week, thanks to the winning combination of his
Nike SQ DYMO driver and Nike ONE Tour ball. Tiger also averaged
312.4 yards off the tee for the week and made 1.673 putts-per-green.
Woods' impressive driving accuracy set him up well for his iron
shots. He ranked tied for third in greens in regulation using Nike
Forged Blades. Rounding out his arsenal of Nike equipment were his
Nike SQ 2
13-degree and SQ 2 19-degree fairway woods; his 56-degree
Nike Victory Red (VR) and 60-degree Nike SV wedge. For Woods'
apparel and footwear, he featured Nike Golf's Tiger Woods Collection
and his Nike Air Zoom TW 2009 footwear.
