tiger and ames highlight 2007 season for nike golf
Seven is not a score
you want to make playing golf, but it was great number for Nike Golf in the year 2007.
Tiger Woods won
seven times on the PGA Tour, including the PGA Championship and the FedEx
Cup, blowing away the competition by eight strokes in the season-ending Tour
Championship.
Thirteen isn’t a
popular number either for golf or Fridays, but Nike Golf athletes racked up 13
victories on the PGA Tour this
season.
With those 13
victories, Nike Golf led the Tour
in driver and irons wins for
the second straight year.
The Nike ONE
Platinum ball accumulated 12 PGA Tour wins and the Nike ONE Black had one
win.
Back to seven:
With Trevor Immelman’s victory in the NedBank Golf Challenge this month, Nike
Golf athletes won seven times internationally in 2007, and Nike Golf athletes
won seven times on the Nationwide Tour, led by Nick Flanagan with three victories.
Canada’s Stephen
Ames won the Children’s Miracle Network Classic, last PGA Tour event of the year and then captured the LG Skins
Game, wielding a prototype SQ SUMO˛ 5900 square driver.
K.J. Choi won
two Tour events with the original
SQ SUMO˛, underscoring that square
geometry is a benchmark in club design.
